This special project represents a life well-lived - full of creativity and positive influence. Zoe Chilco lived her dream of not only becoming an award winning singer/songwriter but also publishing her love of writing in numerous poems and her book, Wind Dancing. Zoe's music recordings are treasures - filled with performances by some of Toronto's greatest musicians. Sadly, Zoe passed away in October 2020. Her last days were spent organizing the Feme Sole Awards where she assigned administrators and adjudicators who would accept applications and deliver the awards to worthy recipients pursuing a career in music and writing for four years after her passing. In her words, "As an independent artist, I understand the challenges of creating and promoting one’s work without financial aid. This legacy allows me to help other artists in two areas of interest to me: music and writing."
